This is the only oven not to require furniture housing to install, giving it a unique appearance almost floating on top of the kitchen bench top. Unique to Siemens, the liftMatic oven has already received a prestigious ‘Janus de l’Industrie 2006’ design award in France for the most creative achievements in manufactured products & consumer goods. Human Factors The lift function allows you access to the food from three sides, without doors or handles getting in the way, which means there is no risk of touching any hot surfaces. Powered by an electric motor, the principle of the ‘LiftMatic’ system is similar to that of an electric car window. For safety, there is an automatic cut out mechanism if the appliance recognizes an obstruction, again in a similar way to a car window. The user can choose the most suitable installation position to ensure a clear view into the oven & the lift platform can be lowered to the most comfortable level for each person. It has a generous capacity of 50 litres & a choice of five cooking positions. A child safety function to deactivate all functions - including the lift - if little fingers are around. If the opening movement is blocked, the lift stops automatically and the heating elements are switched off straightaway. There is all round internal illumination for better viewing of your food cooking. Functionality A glass ceramic oven base to make it particularly easy to cook foods such as bread, pizzas and croissants, by placing them directly into the oven without using a tray. The smooth surface makes it extremely easy to clean too. Pressing a button can start a self-cleaning activeClean® system. Residues of cooked food are turned to ash by heating the oven to a high temperature. The quadruple glazed safer touch oven door is removable for cleaning. Liquids do not spill and cleaning is particularly easy on this model. Space below the oven can be used for storage e.g. trays. Environmental Sustainability The ‘liftMatic’ heating system is more energy efficient than traditional ovens, as the rising heat remains trapped within the oven so it can’t possibly escape. A speed cooking function to reduce cooking time by up to 30% compared to traditional ovens. For example, it can defrost and cook a pizza in just ten minutes. |
