Product Manufacturer Product Description and Principal Function(s) The 'Hughie Sink' was specifically designed to capture water, in the kitchen sink, laundry tub, or even the shower, that would normally go down the drain. The 'Hughie Sink' allows the user to reuse the water from many tasks around the home, for e.g. washing hands, rinsing dishes or preparing the nightly vegies. Remove the plug and submerge the 'Hughie Sink' in the laundry tub after washing or warm up water from the shower.This water is then used to keep the veggie garden or pot plants alive, wash the car or pet areas, even wash the floors. Key Product Features and Benefits The 'Hughie Sink' is unique as there is no other similar product on the market today. It is very user friendly and very versatile as it can be used in many areas of the home, workplace, schools, camping or boating. With all its features, the 'Hughie Sink' can fit into the user's life no matter what the lifestyle.The 'Hughie Sink' was designed to fit most kitchen sinks, due to the strong innovative lip design. This unique lip enables it to be used in the majority of homes. The 'Hughie Sink' has smooth rounded lines, which adds to its look of quality. It is rectangle in shape, with sturdy fold away handles which lock together when lifted for easy carrying. This feature enables the user to remove the 'Hughie Sink' from the sink or tub, and carry with one hand leaving the other hand free. The moulded feet prevent suction and allows easy drainage when the sink is in the sink or tub. It also has an overflow, a pourer and a plug and drain which allows it to be used as a standalone sink outside the home. The 'Hughie Sink' is made from strong, lightweight, food grade plastic, robust enough to be used constantly. It requires no plumbing or installation costs and no adjustments to the user's sink or tub. It comes in five colours and therefore would fit into any colour scheme. The prime motivation behind the development of the 'Hughie Sink' was water restrictions, which prevented the householder from using tap water for gardens and many other uses around the home.There are many ways to save water but few are so simple or so easy that allows children to grandparents to become involved. It is easy to dismiss how many times a day we wash our hands or rinse a glass. this water can be captured with the 'Hughie Sink' and reused to water the garden or pot plants. In many areas of Australia this would be the only way to keep the veggie patch alive. The many features of the 'Hughie Sink' make it easy to carry the water out to the garden and either pour over the spout or requlate the water flow through the plug and drain. Th 'Hughie Sink' can hold up to seven litres of water and in a normal household it would be filled several times a day. With this in mind, if every household captured a minimum of twenty-five litres a day, the impact on our water resources would be immense. The 'Hughie Sink' should not only be used during water shortages and droughts, but also in times of plenty. The aim would be to promote the 'Hughie Sink' as an essential part of every household.
