It has been designed to produce two espresso shots by having an automatic cut off which prevents burning of the coffee grind. After the perfect amount of coffee is dispensed the boiler primes itself for steaming of the milk to produce two perfect homemade lattes. The OTTO Stove Top Espresso Maker exudes a fresh presence to the home coffee machine market. Its form is an expression of its function. A classic design reinterpreted. Its mirror polished surface and attractive form make it a piece of art for the home as well as a great coffee maker. OTTO has had a large focus placed on functionality. The group cup which holds the coffee in place while extracting the espresso also doubles as the boiler lid removal tool, allowing the hot boiler lid to be removed for refilling for the next round of coffees. The robust group cup handle and Steam control knob also allow the machine to be moved easily when hot. Producing a great coffee has been the focus of the OTTO project. OTTO is made almost completely of stainless steel promising the consumer a lifetime of enjoyment. The seals use DuPont’s Viton fluoroelastomer which provides excellent sealing properties as well as unsurpassed durability. OTTO has a safety valve to prevent the buildup of steam pressure inside the boiler past a safe operating point. Its handles are large and robust providing excellent ergonomics. Coffee is easy to load and a custom coffee tamper allows the operator to tamp their coffee grind at a perfect pressure to produce espresso. OTTO will last a lifetime but if it does reach an end point the machine is completely recyclable. The packaging of OTTO has been designed to not only hold the product securely for retail purposes but to be part of the whole product experience. The packaging displays OTTO as the centre piece surrounded by two latte glasses, a stainless steel milk jug and custom coffee tamper. The box is made from premium materials allowing OTTO to be transported safely and securely for its lifetime. |
