EcoSmart Fires are designed without a flue, and they are eco-friendly, running on denatured ethanol, a renewable energy.The Zeta is testament to the inspired designs which define EcoSmart Fires. Specifically, it is an elliptical-shaped fireplace which gives the illusion of fire coming out of a non-combusting timber fold. The resolved Zeta cleverly and carefully melds timber, leather and stainless steel. In 2006 the EcoSmart™ Fire was awarded the ‘Best of Year’ Roscoe Award for most popular innovation at the New York Interior Design Awards. Since launching onto the world stage in 2004, more than 12,000 EcoSmart Fires have been installed in 52 countries. VISIONARY DESIGN: The EcoSmart Zeta fireplace is the culmination of a strategic collaboration between The Fire Company and renowned architect John Dimopoulos, from geoform design. The Zeta was a 'tablecloth design moment', based on the concept of fire being 'held' by something you'd normally expect to burn. KEY CONSIDERATIONS: The Zeta is a clever fusion of timber, leather and stainless steel, designed with aesthetics, durability and functionality firmly in mind. The plywood body of the fire is shaped from a high frequency heated aluminium mould into the perfect elliptical shape. A thin stainless steel firebox insert is moulded to the internal face of the plywood, and the outer surface is upholstered in leather. The toughened glass screens that sit either side of the fire enhances the stunning visual effect created by the flame. The result is a well-crafted fireplace which embodies quality, sophistication and originality. FLEXIBILITY: Versatility is key, and not only is the Zeta portable, it also sits on a brushed or polished stainless steel swivel base. It comes in a range of stylish colours including black, tan, latte and chocolate. As with the rest of the Designer Range, the Zeta is delivered ready to lift the ambience of any interior. SUSTAINABILITY: The Zeta is fuelled by denatured ethanol, an environmentally friendly, renewable energy. It burns clean and is virtually maintenance free. |
