Product Manufacturer Product Description and Principal Function(s) The Gator is a HiPowered LED bike headlight. Two Hipowered 3wattLED lamps (wide and spot beams) sit beside a 5mm beacon LED. These lamps are mounted inside a cast aluminium chasis encased in compression moulded silicon. Powered by a smart charge Lithium Ion battery, the Gator burns at full brightness for four hours and will run the beacon LED for a further 2000. The unit is controlled from a handlebar mounted 3 button intuitive keypad allowing the rider to individually control each lamps brightness and function. Attachment to any diameter bike bar or frame (no tools required) completes the compact Gator.Key Product Features and Benefits Catalyst – the brains behind the KNOG brand of cycling accessories - designs to integrate products functionally and visually. A clever combination of thermo-conductive compression molded silicone and aluminum cast chassis (effectively using the bike to distribute heat) has enabled Catalyst to design a bike headlamp that is visually simple, compact and obnoxiously bright.At 120grams the Gators lightweight headlamp contains two 50,000hour burn-life, hi-powered 3wattLED lamps beside a 5mm ultra bright LED beacon. The lamps are set with broad-beam and spot-beam lenses and burn at a total brightness of 280 Lumens. The three button intuitive and backlit handlebar mounted touch pad allows the rider to individually control headlamp brightness at 50 and 100%, while allowing for flashing or constant mode on the beacon lamp. Powered by a Lithium Ion battery the unit burns at full brightness for four hours and 2,000 hours of beacon lighting. A smart charge system recharges the battery in 4 hours. Using a double connector you can connect two batteries to the Gator, doubling burn time while maintaining consistent battery output. Weatherproof connectors keep the 3piece Gator watertight. Visually organic the Gator is designed to integrate easily to multiple segments of the bike market. The units use a unique ‘no tools required’ compression silicon attachment system. This allows the rider to easily attach and adjust the units on handlebars or bike frames of any diameter. Fully compliant with RoHs, Wee and CE conventions the Gator comes packaged in a black and gold plastic coated individual display box. This box allows an open display of the unit and features without removal. Fundamentally the Gator is cool, super bright and easy, shining bright enough to make the University of Michigan's cheerleading team seem like a bunch of depressed arts students. A tight little silicon-encased aluminum unit with intuitive soft touch button controls cabled to a slim-line battery pack it successfully integrates technology and innovation with usability and fun. |
